PLUG-INS.
Most of these games use flash/shockwave technology, and a small amount of them use java applets so, if you don't have the required plug-ins installed, they will not work. You will probably have flash installed (99% of internet users do), and if you use Internet Explorer and a Windows version previous to XP, you will have java as well.
